The Canadore College Foundation proudly announces three significant donations from Canadore College Alumni, marking a milestone in support for student success. These contributions total $515, 000.

The Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament, held on June 6, was a huge success, raising $35,000 towards scholarships and bursaries for Canadore students. This annual event has become a cornerstone of alumni and regional engagement, fostering a spirit of giving back to the College community.

The Canadore Foundation received two significant donations in addition to the funds raised by the golf tournament. The Children of Alumni Award received a $100,000 contribution, ensuring that the children of Canadore graduates can access automatic support for their educational journey and $380, 000 was allocated to the Alumni Community Fund, a resource for various projects including capital, equipment, technology and athletics.

Nicole Bamford, President of the Canadore Alumni Board, expressed her enthusiasm, “As an alumni board, we are thrilled to support student-centric initiatives. These donations are a nod to the enduring connection alumni and community feel to Canadore College. We remain focused on helping students succeed academically and become future leaders.”

Kirk Kelusky, Chair of the Canadore College Foundation Board of Directors, highlighted the impact of these donations. “These donations emphasize the dedication of our alumni and supporters. Substantial contributions like these directly enhance our students’ educational experiences and opportunities. The support we receive from our community is vital to enabling Canadore College to fulfil its mission of providing high-quality education and fostering innovation.
