The Canadore College Foundation is pleased to announce a generous $194,624 donation
from TD Bank Group, through the TD Ready Commitment in support of the Resilience Through Education Program
(RTEP). This funding, spread over two years, will significantly enhance the College’s efforts to bridge the gap
between social assistance clients and postsecondary education.

RTEP integrates successful models from previous pilot programs, the Nipissing Poverty Reduction Through
Education Program (NPREP) and the Indigenous Poverty Reduction Through Education Program (IPREP), ensuring a
culturally inclusive, holistic service delivery model. RTEP is strategically designed to address critical skills gaps and
labour shortages in the workforce, equipping participants with the expertise needed to meet current and future
employment demands. Each participant will receive personalized support from dedicated mentors and career
navigators who will help build individualized education plans, including customized services for transitioning into
college and securing employment post graduation. This initiative aims to serve 40 participants.
