The Efu Family Bursary was established at Canadore College through a personal commitment from the Efu family, a family that has long believed access to education is one of the most powerful forces for individual and community advancement. For them, this bursary is an expression of that belief in action.

The Efu family understands that financial barriers don’t reflect ability or ambition. They reflect circumstance. By investing in students who might otherwise struggle to remain in school, the family hopes to open doors that stay open, for students, for their families, and for the communities they will go on to shape.

This endowed bursary is designed to grow over time, with the Efu family contributing annually and welcoming others who share their values to add to its reach.

  • Self-identify as Black or Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit)
  • Demonstrate financial need
